Topic Objectives

Participants will learn the following:

1. Care and Special Assistance Team members receive a great deal of emotional satisfaction from supporting survivors in the aftermath of the crisis;
2. All company employees who support survivors in the aftermath of the crisis should receive physiological support during their response and support from their leadership. They should also be offered all resources within the company’s plan for employee counseling and support.
3. Post Traumatic Growth is a theory that explains transformation following trauma, where survivors find ways to adapt, learn, and grow from their experiences;
4. Care and Special Assistance Team members also experience Posttraumatic Growth from their work with survivors, watching their resilience and witnessing their growth after tragedies.
