FAERF Institute Certificate in

International Humanitarian Assistance Response Program (I-HARP™)

Three Certificates will be released in 2024/2025

1. Practitioner – This certificate is designed for care/special assistance team members who wish to enhance their skills and education on humanitarian assistance response.

2. Leader – The Leader certificate is designed for those team members who serve in a leadership capacity as a team leader, coordinator or line manager for a humanitarian assistance response team.

3. Manager – The Manager Certificate is a comprehensive course designed for those company leaders who will manage a humanitarian assistance response program.

Each course builds upon another. Completion of the Practitioner course is a prerequisite of the Leader program, and the Practitioner and Leader courses are a prerequisite for the Manager Certification program.

The Practitioner Certificate consists of 16 core lessons and two out of four electives for a total of 18 credits. Lessons are organized around the Helper’s Hierarchy, used in Human Services Response™ Training offered by the FAERF Institute (faerf.org). The webinar schedule is provided on the next page where the five Levels are offered, as well as a listing of the electives that will count toward the 18 credits that comprise the Certificate.

These Certificate Programs will be available through the FAERF Institute’s Learning Management System (LMS) starting in July 2024. However, as a way to introduce the I-HARP™ Certificate Program, the Institute will be featuring the Practitioner Certificate through our Summer Webinar Series and continuing through November 2024.
Webinar attendees will be able to view the video lessons at no charge via the webinar sessions. We will provide a special registration link for those attendees who then wish to register and complete the Practitioner Certification. This will enroll participants in the LMS and provide access to lesson objectives, notes and quizzes. Participants will need to pass the quizzes for the lessons taken during the webinars. Those lessons are available to watch again as desired. Webinar participants will have until 31 December 2024 to decide if they want to enroll in the certificate program and receive credit for the videos taken via the webinars.
