Caring for Those in Harm’s Way

This lesson on caring for the physical needs of Survivors is divided into five topics as follows:

• Introduction
• Caring for the Physical Needs of Primary Survivors – Members of the public who are in harm’s way, such as passengers, guests, customers, or members of the public who are caught up in a company’s traumatic event.
• Caring for the Physical Needs of Primary Survivors – Crew members or employees of the company experiencing a traumatic event.
• Caring for the Physical Needs of Secondary Survivors – Families and loved ones of the Primary Survivor.
• Care for the Physical Needs of Secondary Survivors: Care and Special Assistance Team members and company employees directly or indirectly involved in responding to a company’s traumatic event.
